We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Visual Arts Teacher to join our College. This is a full-time position for Term 3 only.
About the role: Reporting to the Director of The Arts, you will be a passionate, dynamic and a creative Visual Arts Teacher. You will inspire and nurture our students to develop their creative abilities and talents through Visual Art.
Your responsibilities include:
- Ability to teach Visual Arts, year 11 and 12 General curriculum.
- Ability to demonstrate technical competence in a wide variety of art mediums including: ceramics, textiles, painting and illustration.
- Ability to be innovative in your teaching methodologies, keeping up to date with current pedagogical trends in Visual Art teaching.
- Ability to build rapport with students, parents and all College employees. Develop respectful, inclusive and positive working relationships.
What we are seeking:
- A highly passionate, dedicated and creative Visual Arts Teacher.
- A team player, with the initiative to proactively step in and support team members and students.
- Highly organised with the ability to plan lessons and coordinate workday effectively, with clear structure to meet the learning needs of each student.
- Experience in teaching in Visual Arts, including the ability to develop course curriculum, conduct reporting and assessment data.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students with the ability to respond to a fast-paced working environment.
- An awareness and appreciation for the Catholic ethos of the College.
Desirable:
- The ability to teach lower school English would be advantageous.
