Additional Information:
• This role is Permanent Full-time, 76hrs/fortnight.
• You must have the availability to work 7:30am – 3:30pm Monday to Friday (and occasional weekend or public holiday shifts according to business needs).
• As part of the recruitment process this role requires a pre-employment check for final candidates.
• If you are successful for this role, you will be required to obtain a National Police Check.
About this work area
As Visual Merchandise & Activity Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Contributing to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market.
• Providing home furnishing solutions for a single product or a combination of products to improve people’s life at home.
• Demonstrating the uniqueness of the IKEA product range through your visual merchandising competence and techniques in different displays in store to distance us from the competition.
• Use the knowledge of people's needs and dreams in the local market to plan and implement relevant, inspiring, affordable, and commercial range presentation solutions that reflect a wide variety of styles, price levels, meet the many individual tastes and exceed our visitor's expectations.
• Actively cooperate with all key stakeholders within commercial and beyond and be accountable for adapting home furnishing solutions for market specific needs to create a better everyday life for the many people.
• Constantly on the move in the store to successfully implement your tasks and duties.
As Visual Merchandise & Activity Co-worker you are:
• Passionate about implementing your designs from a sketch into reality, as you are a practical and hands on individual, with proven time management kills and ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Curious and driven to understand home furnishing and people’s everyday life at home, grasping the fundamentals of visual merchandising principles.
• A creative thinker, with commercial visual competence and a keen eye for aesthetics.
• Demonstrated ability to work innovatively and collaboratively with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of effectively communicating with stakeholders across all levels of the business.
• Proficient in Revit, SketchUp or similar space planning software and Microsoft Office is essential.
• A Design qualification & Visual Merchandising experience is required for this role, preferrable within home furnishing.
• Comfortable working at heights, with strong commitment to safety.
