Additional information:
• This role is permanent full-time, 76hrs/fortnight.
• • You have the availability to work Monday to Friday 7:30am to 3:30pm (and occasional weekend or Public Holiday shifts, as per business needs).

About this work area
As Visual Merchandise & Activity Manager your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Contributing to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market.
• Providing home furnishing solutions for a single product or a combination of products to improve people’s life at home.
• Demonstrating the uniqueness of the IKEA product range through your visual merchandising competence and display techniques in different store media and activity areas to distance us from the competition.
• Working with vitality to motivate people to visit the IKEA store more frequently.
• Securing the use of the store layout as a commercial tool to plan and implement commercial strategies throughout the store while creating a good overview and strong visual impact.
• Regularly communicate with key stakeholders in-store to build collaboration and engagement.
• Lead by example, engage, coach and empower your team of Visual Merchandisers to develop their creative problem-solving skills to secure commercial results and sales opportunities.
• Recruiting, developing, and leading your team by encouraging open, constructive, and honest, two-way feedback.
As Visual Merchandise & Activity Manager you are or have:
• A deep passion, curiosity, energy and understanding of home furnishing and people’s everyday lives at home, ideally within department store or large retail environment.
• Proven problem-solving abilities to assess options, identify and implement creative, innovative, and flexible solutions with the Visual Merchandise remit.
• Higher education qualification in visual merchandising or industrial design is high regarded, a solid background of working as a Visual Merchandiser is essential.
• Proficient ability in Microsoft Office and experience working with SketchUp, AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Demonstrated ability to work innovatively and collaboratively with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of effectively communicating with stakeholders across all levels of the business.
• Proven experience in coaching, leading and performance management. A motivational leader who can engage people fully to reach set goals and generate growth and long-term profitability.
• A love of visual merchandising and commitment to inspiring others with your passion.
