The Role
Reporting to the VM Creative Manager, the VM Creative Designer is responsible for delivering concepts that elevate store and customer experience through key strategic events – both brand and retail campaigns.
The VM Creative Designer approaches design with sustainability at the front of mind and creates world class concepts for windows and instore.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the delivery of end-to-end creative concepts – from design conception through to installation ensuring the CR & TR vision is translated to store experience.
- Supports the execution of all creative campaigns in stores and windows across CR & TR standalone & department stores, across Australia and internationally.
- Create detailed technical drawings and elevations of all production requirements for the production team
- Allocate elements to stores and provide accurate documentation to production team for budgeting.
- Design with Sustainability at forefront of mind – materials, Lifecyle and disposal of elements are all key considerations.
- Provide design support to the store design team for new store openings and refurbishments.
- Supports strategic direction that applies learning from past and present seasons to future visual merchandising decisions to improve the customer experience and drive sales.
- Works closely with key stakeholders to ensure the campaign objectives are in line with the brand positioning and VM is in line with these objectives.
- Ensure creative integrity of brand is maintained in all VM - for CR & TR
- Ensure all material produced is within the agreed budget and timelines.
- Partners closely with the VM Specialists and design teams to understand the direction for each collection, across all areas of the business to align creative concepts.
- Collaborates on events, ensuring they advance the brand, deliver marketing objectives and are consistent with company handwriting.
- Understand global and market trends that are relevant for both CR & TR
- Drive innovative research and development of creative concepts.
The Ideal Candidate has
- Experience in a similar role with a relevant VM or Design degree/qualification
- Strong fashion and interior design knowledge with an eye for detail
- Understands how to read and build out technical drawings for floor plans and fixtures
- Proficient in SketchUp, Adobe Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft Office suite skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage time and deadlines effectively.
