As the Volunteer Community Engagement Coordinator, you will be instrumental in supporting the branch coordinators and committees throughout their network.
The Role
Your primary focus will be on crafting and executing a robust engagement strategy, ensuring the provision of enriching volunteer opportunities while aligning with their mission.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to crafting a comprehensive volunteer engagement strategy that adheres to best practices and advances our mission.
- Develop and execute a framework and program fostering ongoing volunteer engagement, development, and skill enhancement.
- Serve as the primary contact for branch coordinators, ensuring they fulfil their role responsibilities effectively.
- Coordinate induction sessions for new volunteers and provide ongoing training updates.
- Revise and enhance the Branch Coordinator Handbook as needed.
- Provide support services to branches for committee meetings, including scheduling, preparing materials, and ensuring effective follow-up.
- Advocate for initiatives recognizing and rewarding volunteers' contributions.
- Establish feedback systems for volunteers to contribute to organizational processes.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing successful engagement strategies
- Prior experience working in a Not-For-Profit environment or working with volunteers will be highly regarded.
- Proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Flexible and collaborative, with a passion for inspiring new volunteers.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
