About the Role:
An exciting opportunity for an engaging and tenacious Volunteer Coordinator. You will be responsible for the management of the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) – Residential Aged Care and Home Care Package programs in the Hunter and Central Coast. Building relationships with stakeholders is a key part of the role as you will take referrals from them to allocate volunteer services. You will also oversee recruitment, management, training and support to volunteers.
To be successful for the role you will have:
- Exceptional communications skills and proven ability to work independently.
- Experience in the Aged Care and/or Community Services sector desirable (but not essential)
- Ability to recruit and support volunteers and the ability to undertake a caring, fair and respectful approach in the management of volunteers and residents/clients
- Ability to work as part of a team, willingness to support other team members
- Strong planning and organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Solid administration skills and computer literacy
- Current driver’s licence and own vehicle
- Time flexibility when required for occasional extra events and training.
