About the role
The Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for developing and leading a volunteer service whose key focus is to meet the Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme (ACVVS) agreement through the recruitment, management and placement of volunteers with Aged Care providers other than HammondCare.
This is a permanent part-time position working either 2 or 3 days per week (15.2 hours). The role has flexibility to work from home or St Leonards, with a requirement to use your own car to travel across the North Shore/ North Sydney region (mileage paid).
Duties include:
- Building relationships with Aged Care providers to place volunteers in their service
- Recruiting and onboarding of volunteers
- Coordinating and training of volunteers
- Managing and mentoring of volunteers
- Maintaining accurate records in our volunteer database and following established processes and guidelines for Volunteer Services
- Maintaining processes and reporting for ACVSS
About you:

- Demonstrated experience in an Administration/ Coordination position
- Demonstrated experience where relationship building is a prominent component of your role
- Leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as with others
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build rapport quickly and work with people at all levels
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong influencing skills
- Preferred experience in recruitment particularly of volunteers
- Intermediate MS Office skills
- Empathic and compassionate
