RSPCA Queensland is a non-government, community-based charity dedicated to improving the lives of domestic, farmed, and native animals in Queensland. Our mission statement is simple but powerful: Together We Change Lives.

About the role

Providing vital help to all creatures great and small by playing a crucial role in the People and Culture department, aimed at achieving the departmental goal of increasing the scope and functionality of RSPCA Qld through effective and innovative Volunteer Programs and initiatives.

Attract and recruit suitable volunteers across the state by identifying recruitment gaps and advertising & recruiting accordingly
Screening and assisting with the onboarding of new volunteers
Answer and assist with all volunteer specific enquiries
Coordinate and facilitate Volunteer Orientations with the ability to confidently deliver content and answer questions
Administrative functions including the ongoing maintenance of our volunteer database
Assist with volunteer related matters and provide consultation on retention initiatives within departments
Take a proactive role in shaping and fostering a Volunteer Culture based on fun, value and teamwork
Ensure regular communication with Volunteers to maintain the culture of inclusion and information sharing.

Who are we looking for?

Tertiary qualifications - preferably in Human Resources or Business (desirable but not essential)
A background in recruitment or managing/supervising people of all ages
Personal drive and a proven ability to achieve results
An outgoing personality and excellent communication skills
Strong administration and customer service skills
Excellent organisational ability, and a passion for animal welfare
An unwavering commitment to animal health, care and welfare issues and the policies and principles of RSPCA Qld
Alignment and adherence to the RSPCA Qld mission and vision.

This is a full-time position based at our Animal Care Campus in Wacol. Ordinary working hours are 38 hours per week, with some occasional weekend work required. Remuneration is commensurate with qualifications, experience and skills.
