The Voluntary Return to Service (VRS) Model, introduced in May 2021, is coordinated and managed by the Emergency and Major Event Section (EMES) to fulfil policing duties across districts and in areas of high demand. The VRS administrative duties support the effectiveness of the VRS Model.
The Project Support Officer is responsible for providing a range of effective and efficient administrative services pertaining to the SAPOL VRS process. The Project Support Officer is accountable for providing direct support to the EMES Operations Planning Coordinator. The Project Support Officer will be responsible for contributing to the effective development and operation of the VRS Project. This work is crucial for the effectiveness of the VRS Model which provides support for events and other operational/non-operational policing requirements.
Special Conditions
- The incumbent must hold a current Australian work eligibility status and will be subject to a criminal history check.
- The incumbent may be assigned to other duties at this remuneration level or equivalent.
- Some out of hours work and intra/interstate travel may be required.
- The incumbent is required to participate in SAPOL’s iEngage program.
ASO3 - $66,590 - $70,968 per annum.
