The Directorate looks after our people and drives a high performing workplace with strong leadership, organisational capability, and a diverse and inclusive culture that exemplifies our departmental values.We are seeking a Voluntary Separation Package (VSP)/Payroll Project Officer to join our Workforce Management team.The VSP/Payroll Project Officer is responsible for accurately and promptly executing complex calculations related to Voluntary Separation Packages (VSP) and payroll matters. This includes conducting leave audits, managing over and underpayments, and ensuring compliance with relevant awards, agreements, and legislation.Ensuring a high standard of customer service and quality management, this role is a key point of contact for employees, managers, and other stakeholders, providing responsive and accurate advice on payroll and leave matters.About You
The successful candidate will demonstrate sound communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with a range of stakeholders on complex matters. Strong attention to detail is important for accurate payroll processing, reporting and compliance, as is significant payroll experience within a large organisation.Proficiency in spreadsheet and database software is essential, as the successful candidate will be utilising these tools extensively to maintain and report on critical information.A customer-centric approach is important, including understanding and responding to customer needs and perspectives, along with a proactive attitude towards change management and risk mitigation.In return, we offer a dynamic, supportive and rewarding work environment where you'll have the opportunity to make an impact by contributing to the operation of our payroll functions. The successful candidate will be required to provide a National Police Check prior to employment with the Department.
