Reporting directly to the National Business Manager, this role of Account Representative is based in Western Australia and is critical in driving processes and reporting tools to support in-field strategies and activations aligned to the Sales and Marketing strategic plan with responsibility in managing delivery to all business segments including Independent Hardware, Tools Specialists, Industrial, Automotive, B2B and End User initiatives. The ideal candidate should exemplify a self-motivated work ethic, enjoy working autonomously and collaboratively within a high-level team and have experience in the hardware or FMCG channels. Purpose of the Job:

The purpose of this role is to provide delivery of the company’s strategic channel sales executions for the core distribution base, B2B and end user sales. 

Key Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions):

  • Support management in the development and execution of the strategic business plan to manage the execution of margin growth initiatives, by driving sales strategies and activities to meet revenue targets.
  • Delivery of in field sales operations strategy and relationships among multiple channels, including but not limited to: Independent Hardware, Tools Specialists, Industrial, Automotive and B2B initiatives, End Users. 
  • Activate tailored field activation plans for Western Australian customers to ensure delivery of proactive and well-inclusive sales and promotional execution strategies.
  • Identify and secure new business / sales opportunities and leads amongst B2B and key customers with the support of the WernerCo team as appropriate.
  • Researching customers business issues to create revenue-generating solutions.
  • Conduct regular call cycles with key customers to communicate WernerCo’s key business activity, and ensure category management excellence, growth, and collaboration.
  • Utilise sales tools, product or critical data required for successful delivery to key customer meetings, training, or strategic discussions.
  • Deliver product training and sales activation strategy to key customers groups.
  • Report on key market intel for customers / segment in WA metro and regional areas. 
  • Track, measure, and report on activity and performance internally to National Business Manager 
  • Collaborate and work with internal Sales & Marketing team to deliver strong on key initiatives. 

Experience & Education:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in delivering sales solutions to focused customer segments.
  • Experience in Industrial Sales driving solutions to customers and end-users.
  • Experience in B2B sales, demonstrating effective communication and closing skills.
  • An outstanding portfolio of successful work that demonstrates your specific skills in sales, training initiatives, customer relationships and achieving growth.
  • Background in sales strategy and tri-marketing (traditional, digital and social) techniques.

  • Strong desire and ability to work externally, in a team environment and results focused.
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
