About the role
The Assistant Support Worker - MSP supports the delivery of information, and activities, and provide practical assistance to eligible refugees and humanitarian entrants. This role is also responsible and accountable for maintaining client data and various administrative tasks. Assistant Support Workers work within a collaborative team and works closely with Case Managers and other Red Cross staff to assist clients in achieving their outcomes.
What you will bringCommunication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Fluency in a language such as Chin, Karen, Swahili, Dari is essential for this role (language needs are determined based on the primary language of the arriving humanitarian entrants)
Understanding of the refugee and asylum seeker service needs.
Ability to work under general guidance from senior employees and able to collaborate with the team to complete delegated tasks
Qualifications in a Community Services or similar is highly desirable.
