We are seeking an individual with great customer service and administration skills to join the team at the Museum of the Riverina in the position of Museum Assistant – Collections & Programs.
- Permanent, part-time position available – eleven (11) hours per week to be worked each weekend on Saturday and Sunday;
- Applicable penalty rates for ordinary hours worked on weekends apply;
- Remuneration package of $668.89 gross per fortnight + superannuation based on part-time hours of work;

Your new role:
This role will see you actively involved and assisting with:
- Provide weekly front of house services primarily at the Museum’s Historic Council Chambers site on Saturdays and Sundays.
- Assist visitors with enquiries related to the museum facility, exhibitions, programs and collections.
- Invigilation and housekeeping of museum exhibition and public spaces.
- Provide assistance to maintain and develop the Museum’s online and social media profile.
- Maintain visitor statistics, undertake audience evaluations & surveys and produce quarterly data reports.
- Assisting with exhibition installation and deinstallation works as directed.
- Assist with the delivery of public programs.
- Undertake administrative duties and other tasks as directed associated with the general operations of the Museum.
In order to succeed in this role, you will need to:
- Hold qualifications relevant to working in Museums.
- Be welcoming and engaging with members of the general public and provide excellent customer service;
- Support the delivery of a wide range of weekend public programs and events at the Museum;
- Undertake administrative support duties including responding to customer inquiries and other administrative tasks as directed;
- Have experience in working effectively in a team as well as independently; and
- Be willing and available to work a permanent, part time weekend roster on Saturday and Sunday each week.
