About the role
We have an opportunity available for a customer focused applicant to join our team in Patient Services as a Ward Clerk in our Oncology Ward. The successful candidate must be able to work Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am-1pm, will have proven organisational skills, exceptional time management with the ability to prioritise own workload to achieve quality service outcomes.
Your main duties will include:
- Patient admissions and discharges
- Data Entry using IPM software
- Maintain accurate and effective record management systems
- Health fund eligibility check
- Collation and preparation of case notes
Skills and experience:
- Previous administrative experience working in a health care setting
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Proven ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work in close proximity to Medical Scenarios
