About the role
We are seeking applications from motivated individuals to join our dedicated Inpatient Ward Administration team. This part time, fixed term position includes working a rotating roster including morning and evening shifts & weekends. The successful applicant will provide efficient and effective professional administrative support & reception duties, delivering a customer focused service to patients, their families & visitors, and facilitate accurate data entry of patient activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Acknowledge patients and visitors upon their arrival into the department, adrdressing any needs they may have.
- Schedule patient appointments and transfer times accurately and efficiently.
- Entry of data for Admissions, Discharges, Transfers, and Urgent Care Centre attendances
- Verify personal information of patients Verify personal information of patients.
- Working with patients to complete documentation including signing of admission forms.
- Provide administrative support to the leadership team and clinical staff including, but not limited to printing nursing handover sheets, daily operational reports, updating Emergency Board and ordering of supplies.
Skills & Experience
- High level of customer service & communication skills, with previous experience in administration and reception.
- Excellent all-round IT skills including Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook with previous experience with Clinical applications e.g. Patient Administration Systems and Digital/Electronic Medical records systems an advantage.
- Data entry skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Highly developed organisation skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise workload and to remain calm under pressure, and client focused.
- Initiative, flexibility and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to take direction and work positively in a team environment.
