Where you'll be working:

  • The successful candidate will be working with a highly skilled and dedicated Wardsperson Operations team that prioritises the safety and wellbeing of all patients, visitors, and staff members.
  • Tamworth Hospital is one of the New England's largest regional hospitals, recently refurbished to boast brand new, state of the art facilities.
  • In July 2015, we opened the doors to a new $220 million acute services redevelopment; equipped with 348 treatment spaces; we conduct over 8000 surgical procedures per annum over five theatre spaces.


About the role:

  • You will be responsible for ensuring patient and staff safety around manual handling.
  • You will assist in ensuring a safe and efficient health service.
  • You will have the opportunity to contribute to maintaining a safe and caring environment by implementing effective and efficient Wardsperson operational protocols for their facility and community.
  • The successful candidate will be allocated a training officer for their initial part of their training.

This is a Category A position.
