Purpose
Under the guidance of the Warehouse and Logistics Manager and Maroochydore Team Leader, the Warehouse and Logistics Officer assumes responsibility for various tasks to guarantee the accurate handling of inventory is to ensure the correct receipt, storage, issue, and dispatch of inventory, and calibration of tooling in accordance with company policies and procedures.
This involves adhering to company guidelines and protocols, with a focus on material control to maintain a safe and compliant workplace while achieving exceptional customer satisfaction.
This role requires strict adherence to company guidelines and protocols, emphasising material control to sustain a secure and compliant workplace while achieving high levels of customer satisfaction. A thorough understanding of CASA/FAA airworthiness standards for aeronautical products is imperative. The readiness to assist fellow team members in demanding situations is expected.
The Warehouse and Logistics Officer will have great communication skills, along with the ability to work under pressure and hold the initiative and responsibility to find and complete tasks without constant direction.
Key Responsibilities: (included but are not limited to)
Receipt and Dispatch: responsible of receipting incoming and issuing McDermott aviation materials, conduct quality checks, and ensure proper storage. Prepare and dispatch items including booking of freight as required.
Order Fulfilment: Monitor orders via Online Ordering System for items/or supplies, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy in fulfilment.
Storage: Arrange and organise inventory in designated storage areas to facilitate easy retrieval and prevent damage.
Documentation: Keep detailed records of stock levels, transactions, and any discrepancies. Generate reports as necessary.
Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of all aviation-related inventory, including spare parts, stocktaking, replenishment of stock including First Aid, tools calibration, shelf-life management, and equipment.
Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments, such as maintenance, operations, and procurement, to ensure seamless aviation logistics support.
Compliance: Adhere to aviation regulations and safety standards in the storage and handling of materials.
Safety: Follow safety protocols in handling aviation materials, including hazardous substances, and maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.
Calibration: Assist in the actioning of the maintenance of tool calibration and equipment, ensuring they are in optimal condition. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of efficient aviation logistics procedures. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks in the warehouse, developing contingency plans.
Other duties as directed by Manager/Supervisor
Qualifications
· Proven experience in aviation or any similar leadership role.
· Cert IV in Warehousing and Transportation.
· Dangerous Goods license highly regarded.
· Forklift licence highly regarded.
