The Role: The Warehouse worker will carry out receipt, storage and dispatch responsibilities to provide efficient and timely processing of manufacturing requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick, pack and carry out all warehousing and dispatch responsibilities to provide efficient and timely processing of production materials.
- Receipt of goods: unloading of trucks, ensuring quantities received are correct and reconcile with delivery papers & transfer documents.
- Ensure goods are packaged and appropriately loaded onto pallets accurately for return/dispatch to warehouse.
- Ability to operate the Forklift with all the safety measures required.
- Pick and issue items for production team and inter-warehouse stock transfers.
- Responsible for inventory accuracy & item location management.
- Active participation in stock-take and cycle counts.
- Keep warehouse organized, maintained, clean, tidy and safe.
- Maintain the forklift equipment and ensuring a safe working condition.
Tertiary Qualifications & Industry Accreditations:
- Completion of year 12 or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have warehouse experience within the manufacturing industry.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Experience in a similar role in logistics and/or a warehouse environment.
- A current Forklift license is a must.
- A police clearance certificate (or willing to obtain pre-employment)
- Physically fit/ability to safely lift heavy objects.
- Experience in using warehouse machinery and ensuring health and safety standards are met in relation to warehouse operations.
- Working knowledge of safe operating procedures.
- Working with pharmaceutical raw materials is a distinct advantage.
- Legible & accurate completion of documents is a necessity.
