About the role
We are currently looking for a dynamic Warehouse Assistant to join our dedicated team. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, your role will be pivotal in the efficient and organized distribution of parcels to our employees. Your primary responsibilities will include accurately receiving, sorting, and delivering parcels, ensuring timely and secure distribution. This position requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to follow and enhance established protocols for parcel handling.
This role is a Part time role 2 days a week based in our Alexandria Office.
Key responsibilities include:
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, monitor stock levels, and coordinate restocking activities to ensure optimal product availability.
- Order Processing: Process incoming and outgoing orders efficiently, verifying product quality and quantity, and ensuring timely shipments.
- Packing and Shipping: Safely and securely pack products for shipment, adhering to packaging standards to prevent damage during transportation
- Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks on incoming and outgoing products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Organizational Support: Assist in organizing and optimizing warehouse space.
- Package Distribution: Efficiently distribute packages to employees, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of shipments, receipts, and inventory movements. Generate reports as required.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including logistics and procurement, to streamline operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols, promoting a culture of safety awareness among warehouse staff.
- Maintaining Kitchen area: make sure benches are re-stocked with milk and other products.
We're Interested in Hearing from People Who Have:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in warehouse operations is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
