Position Overview:
We are seeking a part-time Warehouse Assistant to join our team, with a commitment of 4 days per week, working 6 hours each day. While Mondays are required, flexibility is available for the remaining 3 days. You will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing our warehouse operations while also providing administrative and customer service support. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role entails ensuring the efficiency and high standards of our warehouse processes. The successful candidate will contribute to stock management, deliver exceptional customer service, and maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Support:
- Pick and pack orders for shipments to customers via our sophisticated WMS (Warehouse Management System).
- Collaboratively organise stock in a safe manner.
- Manage and process returns with accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
- Assist in receiving stock from suppliers and verify the accuracy of items received.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse area.
- Work closely with the Operations Team to optimise warehouse processes.
Customer Service/Admin Support:
- Provide assistance to customers contacting our Customer Support Team.
- Support administrative tasks, such as inputting data into computer systems/ spreadsheets.
- Update inventory records, process orders, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Engage with customers and freight carriers via phone and email, offering advice and solutions in a timely manner for our Brands.
- Assist in the packing of customer orders ensuring presentation of the package/s to the customer is in line with our Brands’ expectations and guidelines.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in warehousing or a similar role is preferred.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer and team interaction.
- Basic calculation and numerical skills.
- Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel and data entry.
- Previous administrative experience, including documentation and record keeping.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong customer service orientation.
