About the Role
Crinum Underground is now operational with the first coal cut and we are continuing to build the team. Due to this an exciting opportunity exists for a Warehouse Coordinator to join the operation and lead a small, yet dynamic warehouse team, ensuring the effective management and flow of all materials to and from the site including procurement, delivery, receipt, issue, and stocking.
This role will provide warehousing leadership along with control and management of all site inventory and consumables including:
- Management and setup of all site materials
- Setup of all storage locations, grouping, space allocation
- Layout of the extensive site warehouse facilities to ensure efficient use and access.
- Work with the operational team to ensure the right materials are available on time and at the lowest available cost.
- Reporting of all key procurement KPI’s for the site ensuring compliance and continuous improvement
- Setup of all processes and procedures for materials flow on, off and within the site.
- Management of critical spares for all high-risk operational areas and equipment
- Kiting and delivery of parts to the work areas according to schedules and maintenance/operational plans
- Engagement with site suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
- Work with the corporate team to ensure consistent low-cost supply across the Sojitz group.
- Co-ordinate store stock with other Sojitz group supply teams
- Maintain a clean, tidy and well organised warehouse facility and yards.
- Engage with the maintenance planning and execution teams to ensure parts are delivered in time for core maintenance activities.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- 5 years plus experience in a similar role
- Formal warehouse qualifications or industry trained experience equivalent (strongly preferred)
- Proven ability to develop and lead a warehouse/procurement team.
- Skilled in analysis of warehouse stock levels
- Strong systems experience with ERP systems (Pronto, highly desirable)
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Office experience (especially Excel)
- Strong experience in mining requirements including maintenance.
