About the Role
We are offering a permanent position (Mon-Fri) based in our Corporate Office in Newstead, Brisbane.
Reporting to the National Compliance, Regulatory & Safety Manager, this role in compliance is within the City Health Day Hospital sector of our business. This role ensures our practices and processes are efficient and effective in delivering against our quality & safety framework, the national health standards, and various state health legislation. The role will oversee compliance & regulations for our Day Hospitals in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne & Perth.
This role will support the national compliance team and our network of Day Hospitals by:
- Working closely with our perioperative teams
- Working closely with our clinical administration teams
- Completing tasks associated with new and ongoing licencing & accreditations
- Completing internal audits
- Managing RISKCLEAR – our key information and risk management system
- Streamlining the company’s immunisation program
- Maintaining the effective and efficient management of patient safety and clinical risk functions
- Representing the compliance team at fortnightly national DON and Clinical Administrator meetings
- Ensuring that the clinical resources are current and readily accessible through our electronic document library
- Supporting the compliance and HR teams to deliver training opportunities and to perioperative staff
About You
Ideally, you will bring to the role:
- Be patient-centric, lead with kindness, and want to achieve excellence as a team.
- Advanced computer skills including Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams).
- Experience in one or more key information systems: RiskClear & Microsoft ONE DRIVE
- Strong experience in electronic document management systems.
- Strong knowledge of NSQHS Standards and experience in maintaining accreditation.
- Compliance expertise within a healthcare sector, preferably Day Hospitals or larger hospitals.
- Attention to detail will be one of your key strengths.
Qualifications
- Qualifications in nursing, clinical, or health science are preferable.
- Driver's Licence.
- Capacity to work in Australia.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years experience in compliance & regulation within healthcare.
- Minimum 2-3 years of nursing experience in medical healthcare.
- Experience using QPulse or similar electronic document management systems.
- Experience using One Drive, Sharepoint, or similar cloud-based file-share platforms.
- Demonstrated knowledge of building backend workflows for Riskclear, Qpulse or similar software.
