Warehouse & Logistics Manager.This newly defined role is critical to their operation, and will work closely with the Supply Chain Manager to drive efficiency across their warehouse and production operation.
Job DescriptionLeading a team of 6 direct reports, you will be responsible for;
- Driving a culture of safety and championing OH&S best practice
- Optimising flow of goods in/out of the warehouse in conjunction with production.
- Managing transport providers and establishing rate cards and a supplier matrix
- Cultivating a continuous improvement environment by maximising site efficiency and productivity, identifying, evaluating, and implementing improvement opportunities and training programs, and ensuring staff are adequately trained for safe and efficient operations.
- Ensure that the site and staff maintain necessary licenses and certificates of competency as required by legislation and company policies.
- Oversee daily operational and administrative procedures and the overall performance of the site, including operational security.
- Actively manage warehouse utilisation and costs, and implement cost reduction strategies.
The Successful Applicant- Demonstrated success leading a large team in a production warehouse
- Dangerous goods and chemical handling experience
- Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives including warehouse layout and optimisation
- Previous experience dealing with transport providers, creating rate cards and KPI's
