The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity within our Melbourne Branch for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join our team!
This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day requirements of the Melbourne warehouse operations as well as managing a small team.
We are looking for a passionate, experienced and motivated Warehouse Manager with proven experience leading and motivating a small team.
A current forklift license is required as well as intermediate level of computer literacy. RF scanning and SAP experience will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities include:
- Manage day-to-day requirements of warehouse operations.
- Supervise, monitor and manage warehouse employees in consultation with the State Branch Manager.
- Manage employee performance and leave requirements.
- Train and mentor new and existing warehouse employees.
- Oversee and ensure the warehouse OHS program is adhered to as well as ensuring that a safe and clean working environment is always provided.
- Manage warehouse product locations including new item introductions.
- Managing of goods inwards and scheduling of goods receiving.
- Overseeing and ensuring all dispatch operations including branch. transfers, meet business requirements including consigning of freight.
- Liaise with freight providers including managing service provider’s payment and performance reporting.
- Oversee credit returns processes and procedures.
- Actively manage and participate in warehouse toolbox meeting.
- Assisting with phone and counter sales and enquires as required.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven leadership experience managing at least 3-4 warehouse team members.
- Excellent communication and high level of attention to detail.
- Comprehensive knowledge of warehouse operations and functions.
- Current forklift licence required.
- Passionate and able to train and motivate staff.
- Approachable and friendly with the proven ability to problem solve.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Reliable with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to multitask and always meet customer service requirements.
- Intermediate level of PC functions and computer awareness.
- Experience with RF scanning and SAP advantageous.
