As a key member of the leadership team, this Warehouse manager position will be a professional multitasker who will manage and oversee the receiving, handling, storing, picking, and packing activities within the distribution centre, ensuring quality standards are met at every turn.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver on all expectations set by the overall Montu logistics strategy.
- Ensure the Warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by supervising, organising, directing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operation goals.
- Not only sticking to deadlines but also being able to get ahead of them to ensure we offer superior service to the consumer.
- Manage and enhance operational processes by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilisation, inventory management, packing processes, and shipping.
- Train and manage a Warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals.
- Oversee daily operations, while controlling and managing inventory and logistics.
- Review and prepare workflow, manning and space requirements, equipment layout, and action plans while ensuring productivity, quality and customer service standards are met.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail oriented, and able to track multiple facets of the warehouse at any given time. You must achieve inventory accuracy, coordinate orders, and track shipping times, ultimately overseeing the fulfilment of a high number of orders on a daily basis.
- 3+ years’ experience in a warehouse / DC lead role managing employees
- Proficient knowledge of warehouse procedure and policies.
- Qualification in warehousing/ Distribution or equivalent is preferred by not essential.
- Must be a solution focused, problem solver with a pragmatic approach.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to make data driven decisions.
- Ability to work across functional teams to work towards a common goal.
- Experience working with key stakeholder in a virtual environment
- Experience with Medicinal Cannabis or Drugs of Dependence is highly desirable but not essential.
