About the Role
The Warehouse Manager plays a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of Calendar Cheese QLD, ensuring a smooth flow of goods from receiving to storage and shipping. The manager is also responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring efficiency in warehouse layout and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring smooth functioning and adherence to company standards.
- Lead and manage a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluation.
- Develop and implement efficient processes for receiving, storing, and dispatching goods to meet customer demands.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock levels are optimally managed to support production schedules.
- Coordinate with other departments to fulfil orders accurately and on time.
- Ensure compliance with WHS procedures to create a safe working environment for all warehouse personnel.
- Identify areas for improvement in warehouse operations and implement effective solutions.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role
- FMCG experience (preferred)
- Excellent understanding of warehouse key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Certification to operate forklifts.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Effective communication and influencing skills. In particular, the ability to advocate change and influence internal opinion.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions quickly.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations related to warehouse operations.
