Manager Supply Chain

The Manager Supply Chain provides an effective and efficient centralised materials Supply Chain supporting all maintenance, renewals and capital works activities across all disciplines of Queensland Rail with a focus on ensuring the efficient delivery of materials and consumables, through the implementation of cost effective and competitive Supply Chain solutions.

• Permanent full-time position based in Brisbane CBD however travel across sites is required.

Overview of responsibilities:

• High level of skill in establishing and implementing lean management processes within the Supply Chain environment
• Ensure Supply Chain continuity cross all Queensland Rail business groups.
• Develop and implement strategies that improve Zero harm performance across all aspects of the Supply Chain.
• Ensure that the commercial strategies for the operation of the Supply Chain drive a best for business outcome for Queensland Rail.
• Ensure Supply Chain operations meet customer requirements and DIFOT obligations.

What you will bring to the role:

• High level of skill in planning, procuring logistics, programming, distribution and reporting as applicable to large multi-function organisations.
• High level of skill in stablishing and implementing production improvement plans
• Strong analytical thinking skills with a solution focused approach.
• Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with all levels of the business.
• Previous experience in lean management or other Continuous Improvement business based tools.
