Warehouse Manager

About the role

Lorna Jane is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead our distribution team at our Brisbane warehouse located in Eagle Farm.

As the Warehouse Manager, you will oversee seamless, cost-effective, and efficient warehouse operations, ensuring the safe receipt, storage, retrieval, and timely dispatch of Lorna Jane products.

You Will

• Oversee each area of the warehouse, ensuring the maintain a high output and seamless operations.
• Assess the required operational workload and assign team members to the relevant areas of the warehouse.
• Set KPI benchmarks and hold team members accountable to all agreed SLAs to drive high performance, meet customer demand and achieve operational efficiency.
• Ensure the team are picking and packing in the most efficient manner, managing their productivity.
• Identify low performance within the team and work with HR and the Global Logistics manager to ensure team are effectively managed.
• Provide training to new team members and cross-training, process updates and upskilling opportunities for all other team members to encourage the achievement of KPIs and a seamless workflow across all areas of the warehouse.
• Create and distribute weekly warehouse rosters, ensuring wages are cost-efficient and appropriately rostered to the needs of the business.
• Maintain a safe, secure warehouse environment by ensuring the team are adhering to company policies and procedures and WH&S regulations are maintained.
• Create and implement a best practice warehouse vision, strategy, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
• Follow up on any orders that have not met timeframe KPIs to resolve any issues in a timely manner.
• Seek support from the Global Logistics Manager when key KPIs and targets are at risk of not being met to determine new deadlines and the relevant assistance required.
• Inspire the team through a shared vision and purpose aligned with wider business strategy, ensuring each team member can make a meaningful contribution.
• Regularly seek and act on feedback from your direct reports to build self-awareness and to create a feedback culture.
• Motivate the team, by providing recognition to high performers, monitoring morale, and fostering a positive working environment.

About You…

• 5+ years’ experience in warehousing operations
• Previous experience in inventory control
• Substantial supervisory experience and knowledge of distribution environment, processes, and regulations
• Current forklift licence 
• Familiarity with WH&S practices in a warehousing environment
• Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite 
• Experience utilising warehouse management systems and other logistics technology
• High attention to detail
•  Strong decision-making skills
