Vili’s is looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager dedicated to exceptional customer service and who enjoys working with people. Your role will involve overseeing warehouse operations, emphasising exceptional customer service, efficient staff management, and collaboration across teams. This role involves implementing systems to enhance business efficiency, administrative duties, and ensuring adherence to established work systems, procedures, and policies.
Job Responsibilities
• Order and receive goods, including for production schedules and promotions
• A food safety focus in all tasks
• Manage and train warehouse staff at multiple locations
• Control inventory levels and process stock requisitions and rotations
• Operate forklifts, trucks, and other equipment
• Physical lifting and manual handling tasks
• Storage and retrieval of stock from cool rooms
• Ensure safe storage and handling of chemicals, and fresh produce
• Maintain complete and accurate records
• Perform general warehouse duties to maintain a clean, safe and orderly workplace
• Liaise with production, café, admin/finance staff, and delivery drivers
• Protect confidential information and intellectual property
• Participate in educational opportunities and professional development
• Produce timely and accurate reports.
The Successful Candidate will demonstrate
• An aptitude for pride in their work
• Competent skills in business operations
• Existing experience in food safety and a food manufacturing business, highly desirable
• Attention to detail, organisational and communication skills
• Exceptional attention to details for quality, stock and damage control
• Safe manual handling operations
• Knowledge of department functions, operations, and goals
• DG training or experience will be highly regarded
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Navision, RF scanners, and Temp Probes
• Effective and appropriate communications
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Effective time management skills
• Current C-class driver’s license, High Risk (forklift) license, MR license, HR license
• Ability to operate a scissor lift would be desirable, but not essential
