Warehouse Operative

The Client

Our client is one of Australia’s largest wholesalers of Industrial products having over 50,000 products across a huge range, which includes a large range of work wear. 

Due to the recent expansion of our clients Distribution Centre at their Karratha branch, they are seeking multiple experienced Store Persons / Warehouse Operatives to join their team. 

The Role

This diverse role is suitable to Karratha residents, who are seeking Full Time employment. The individual will be responsible, but not limited to, the following:

• Picking/Packing Customer and Bulk orders
• Using RF Scanning Equipment
• Checking picked orders and Invoicing (Electronically and/or Paper Based)
• Printing Consignment Notes and readying orders for dispatch
• Receiving goods (Checking and Receipting of inbound products)
• Stock management (recording internal stock movement around the warehouse)
• Forklift Operating (High Risk LF) – Not Essential but Desirable 

The Candidate

Ideally, we are seeking a candidate that has a minimum of 6 months experience within a warehouse environment, however we encourage all interested parties with little to no experience to apply as full training will be provided. 

Essential Criteria includes;

• Local to Karratha
• Have good computer skills
• Be physically fit
• High Risk Forklift (LF) – Not Essential, but Desirable 

In addition, we are seeking candidates that possess the following skills or attributes;

• Be reliable, punctual and have a great work ethic

Working Hours & Days 

• Working Days: Monday to Friday (Some Saturdays required – Over time is paid) 
• Working Hours: 7.6 Hours per day 38 hours per week 
• Shift Times: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM (Additional working hours maybe required from time to time where  Overtime rates apply)

Remuneration

All new starters will be placed through Staff-Net, working on a casual basis for 2 to 3 months where you will then be signed over onto our clients’ books on a permanent basis. Casual Pay Rates, Working Through Staff-Net will be between the following (Depending on your experience)

• $35.00 to $40.00 Per Hour 
• + OT 
• + Super                 
• Paid Weekly
