Based in South Australia, AusPress is a leading importer, distributor and Manufacturer to the Australian construction, mining and marine industries. We are seeking a dynamic, motivated and inspirational Warehouse Operator for our Victorian warehouse based in Doveton with great initiative and drive to help take us to new service and efficiency levels nationally.
Reporting directly to the National Warehouse Manager (NWM), this role is responsible for overseeing and optimising all aspects of our Victorian Warhouse operations. This will involve, in conjunction with the NWM , the development and implementation of continuing strategic initiatives to enhance Warehouse efficiency, productivity and overall performance, to provide a safe work environment and to meet or exceed requirements in the accurate and timely delivery of our Customers products to their destination.
You will be able to work autonomously and as a part of a team and will be self motivated.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Accurate picking and packing of daily orders for deliveries and pick ups to ensure 100% accuracy
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Regular rolling stock takes
- Maintaining Warehouse Safety, efficiency and sustainability
- Ensure efficient space utilisation
- Following warehouse systems, processes and procedures
You will have a current driver's licence, Forklift licence, previous experience in a Stores capacity, and be able to demonstrate solid experience in all warehousing activities. Preference will be given to candidates with a Certificate III in Warehousing Operations, and a willingness to undertake further development.
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate a practical, hands on approach, deliver a high level of customer service while possessing great communication and interpersonal skills with outstanding initiative.
This is a permanent position, and in general, work hours will be 8:00am to 4:30pm. However, the successful candidate must be flexible to work additional hours as required to achieve successful outcomes. As such a competitive salary is on offer commensurate with exeprience and ability.
The successful candidate will also need to pass a full functional medical, including drug and alcohol screening, prior to employment.
