An exciting opportunity to be a part of our thriving and successful international company exists at our Warana branch for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Warehouse Operator.
Your Role
Your role as our Warehouse Operator is to accurately pick orders based on paperwork provided, pack/strap orders and communication order status to the warehouse/distribution manager. Having previous experience in the building supplies industry, you will be confident in assisting customers
You will work in a team and independently to organise and dispatch orders in a timely fashion. You will also be required to assist customers on the trade desk as the role progresses. You will be responsible for collecting and managing order paperwork, liaising with the warehouse manager to ensure products are available and assisting with stock level checks.
What you’ll need
- Forklift license is essential
- Previous experience warehousing advantageous
- Previous experience in the timber and hardware industry advantageous
- Exceptional communication and teamwork skills
- Polite and courteous demeanour when communicating with customers
- Ability to follow direction, work as a team and independently
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Accurate and efficient when picking orders
- Keen to progress, learn about products and progress
- Knowledge of manual handling and health and safety practices
- Proactive in identifying issues and suggesting alternative processes
