Key Responsibilities
The main tasks will be to assist in the following:
- Stock picker/High Reach/Counterbalance forklift driving
- Picking and packing orders accurately and efficiently
- Receiving and storing inbound/outbound shipments, ensuring pallets are stacked effectively
- Using forklifts to facilitate stock movement and allocation within the warehouse
- Conducting manual handling tasks as required
- Sourcing and ordering parts at competitive market prices
- Cultivating strong relationships with suppliers and key business partners
- Maintaining optimal stock levels in the warehouse at all times
- Performing stocktakes and quality control checks to ensure shipment accuracy and report any damages or discrepancies
- Undertaking general warehouse duties to support daily operations
- Delivering parts to designated sites
- Fulfilling various additional duties as needed
Requirements
The successful candidate must have the following skills & competencies:
- Proven experience with High Reach forklifts, while not essential, is highly regarded
- Background in warehouse operations
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
- Strong understanding and commitment to Workplace Health & Safety
- Ability to follow directions effectively
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Punctuality, reliability, efficiency, and a strong work ethic are essential
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring a neat and organized warehouse environment with a sense of pride in maintaining high standards.
- Excellent communication skills
- Current Fork Lift Licence
- Open Drivers Licence
- Truck Licence(minimum MR) preferred but not essential
- Able to drive with a trailer
- Microsoft Office Experience – Word/Excel/Outlook
