The primary role of the Warehouse Storeperson is to serve as a point of contact and ensure a positive customer experience. You will work closely with the Warehouse Manager and operational teams to monitor orders from order placement through to final delivery.
This role is very ‘hands-on’ in performing all daily operational tasks and being the first point of contact in the Warehouse.
The key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Safe loading & unloading of containers either manually or using the appropriate equipment provided
- Pick & pack goods for despatch orders
- Ensure orders are picked in a timely manner
- Ensure orders are dispatched from warehouse as required
- Input data & use in-house software systems
- Undertake stock counts on a regular basis audited against internal &/or customer reports for compliance with Australian Customs & Self-Regulatory reporting
- Produce & maintain a paper trail for all stock movements
- Develop & maintain effective relationships with both internal/external customers & service providers
- Commitment to ensuring a safe work environment & practices in the warehouse
- Assist Management in maintaining compliance with various legislation relevant to Warehousing
- General warehouse housekeeping & ad hoc duties
- All other tasks as directed by the supervisor
- Demonstrated commitment to Workplace Health & Safety within scope of the position to ensure a safe work environment and compliance with WH&S policy and procedures
- Compliance with all company policies and procedures
To be considered for the role, we are looking for a strong individual with the follow attributes:
- Hold a current C Class driver’s licence
- Hold a current Forklift licence
- Experience in receiving & despatching
- Competent computer literacy
- Highly effective interpersonal skills and communication skills
- Proactive work habits with displayed initiative
- Flexible and adaptable attitude in meeting the needs of business
- Positive, can do attitude with friendly personality
