This is a temp to perm opportunity, and will commence as a small operation, with approx 6 - 7 team members to start with and then will expand to a team of 20 - 25 over the next 12 months.
If you are an experienced Team Leader looking to take the next step of your career or an experienced Warehouse Supervisor looking for a change, this could be your next role.
In this busy hands on role, you will take accountability for ensuring all operations in the warehouse are carried out efficiently and effectively. Leading a small team, you will oversee the accuracy of reporting, inventory/storage, in/out bounds goods and customer delivery/service.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the day to day operational activities providing coaching and training to the warehouse team.
- Conduct regular stock checks and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Implement warehouse policies and procedures to maintain a safe and productive work environment
- DC will be paper based for first 12 months, will be responsible for assisting with the implementation of the WMS
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with staff inductions, training of new staff and provide ongoing support and guidance
- Relevant experience in a fast-paced DC/warehouse environment
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask
- Forklift licence required
