Waco Kwikform Ltd is part of Waco International, a leading global commercial and industrial services business focusing on the hire and sale of scaffolding equipment and associated labour services.
We are currently seeking a Team Leader for our Canberra Branch located in Hume. This will be a permanent position working in our yard / warehouse with hours generally being 6.30am to 3.30pm.
Duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Providing guidance and direction to lead and manage a team responsible for inspecting, picking, and restacking Scaffolding items.
- Maintaining accurate inventory records of correctly labelled and organised Scaffolding items, ensuring there is adequate supply of such through liaison with the procurement team.
- Overseeing the picking of required scaffolding items for scheduled deliveries, ensuring all are correctly identified, counted, and packed safely and securely for transport.
- Conducting thorough inspections of returned items to verify quality and safety compliance, and promptly addressing any issues or damage to returned equipment.
- Maintaining detailed inventory records, including compliance, and generating reports related to such.
- Efficiently allocating labour and equipment resources to meet delivery and inspection schedules.
- Conducting regular safety meetings and training sessions whilst enforcing strict adherence to safety protocols at all times.
- Effectively liaising with the Warehouse Supervisor, Operations Staff, and contractors to confirm delivery schedules and address any potential issues.
- Identifying and organising any relevant training requirements within the team, assisting to foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Continually assessing, implementing, and improving process enhancements within the warehousing operations.
To be considered for a role you must possess the following skills, experience and attributes:
- Current forklift High Risk Work Licence (LF)
- Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Cert III in Warehousing preferred but not essential
- Proficiency in computer skills preferred but prepared to train the right candidate
- High levels of attention to detail
Shortlisted / successful candidates will be required to undertake a pre-employment medical assessment which includes drug and alcohol screening.
