The Operation
Ravensworth Operations comprises of Ravensworth Open Cut and the Coal Handling Preparation Plant that provides high quality coal for the export market. The operation has approval to mine over 14Mtpa, with a long mine life. We are a large, dynamic mine committed to delivering safety and performance. The Location
Ravensworth Open Cut is ideally located in the NSW Hunter Valley near Singleton, 70 km north-west of Maitland, and 90 km north-west of Newcastle.
The Role
An opportunity exists at our operation for a Warehouse Trainee to develop into a warehouse and supply professional. You will quickly become an integral member of the supply team, and contribute to driving a high-performance culture, role modelling and reinforce the behaviours that will underpin the success of our operation.
Reporting to the Supply Coordinator, you will complete a Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations within 24 months. You will have on-site experience in:
- Maintaining good housekeeping
- Control of goods in the Warehouse including (but not limited to):
- Receipting and put away of inbound goods
- Complete picking and goods issue for planned maintenance and communicate shortfall to relevant stakeholders.
- Carry out inventory stock takes.
- Conduct investigations into stock discrepancies
- Maintain accurate stock and storage locations in SAP
- Receipting and put away of inbound goods
- Providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers
- Attending to telephone and counter inquiries, offering knowledgeable assistance and support to customers
- Obtaining a forklift licence
About you
To be successful in this role you will:
- be willing and eligible to participate and complete a Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations, as well as being self-driven to complete traineeship within the required timeframe.
- High verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate a keen interest in the supply and mining industry
- Have a high commitment to safety
- Be commitment to on and off the job training
- Be honest and reliable
- High level of computer skills in all Microsoft packages, with a willingness to learn our operating systems
- Hold a valid driver's licence (no public transport available)
