Warehousing and Depot Operations Traineeship

About the Role

An exciting opportunity awaits the right candidate. Monson Logistics is looking for a Warehousing and Depot Operations Trainee. Working with this Monson Logistics will expose you to all aspects of a warehouse traineeship, providing a high level of training in a structured, safe & supportive environment. 

Some of the key focus / learning areas of this role include:

• Depot Container Control
• Quarantine inspections and duties
• General office / administration duties, including data entry
• Processing drivers paperwork and reports as required
• Liaising with freight partners and internal stake holders  
• Co-ordinating local & interstate freight deliveries
• Unloading trucks and receiving goods
• Sorting and placing items on racking
• Packing and unpacking items
• Putting away material to designated storage locations
• Forklift operation

About You 

The below items are advantageous, and the ideal candidate will possess some of the following:

• Experience using Microsoft Office (especially MS Excel & Outlook)
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal 
• Good computer skills  
• Good time management skills 
• Experience in forklift operation
• Commitment to complete a Certificate in Warehousing and Logistics
• Ability to pass a Drug & Alcohol test
• Ideally candidates will have completed grade 12 and be ready for a commitment to gaining a qualification.

Note: Experience in the transport industry is desirable but not necessary as full training is provided to the successful applicant
