The NA&A team manage the change to the network - ensuring that the asset outcome is safe, reliable, and sustainable, both today and into the future.About the roleMetro Trains is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Wash Plant Operator to join our team. The Wash Plant Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining Wash Plant equipment to ensure the cleanliness and appearance of our trains across three depots: Craigieburn, Epping, and North Melbourne. This position offers a unique opportunity to play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and presentation of our trains, contributing to the overall success of our operations.What you will be doingOperate Wash Plant equipment to clean and maintain trains according to established procedures and standards.Perform routine inspections and maintenance on Wash Plant machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the Wash Plant area, including disposal of waste materials and cleaning of equipment.Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate work schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks.Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to promote a safe working environment for yourself and others.About youStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.Flexibility to work across three depots: Craigieburn, Epping, and North Melbourne.Willingness to work on a rotating 2-week roster with shifts from 7am-3pm and 8pm-2am.Next stepsIf this role resonates with your values, experience, and career aspirations, join us and get onboard to help move Melbourne!Don't meet every single requirement?
