We do more than collect the bin from your street, we also convert waste into clean energy, divert food waste from landfill and convert to compost, manufacture customised waste management equipment, asbestos removal, refine and recycle oil, manage and maintain our fleet inhouse and have our own bespoke technology systems.
Our teams include Drivers/Operators, Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Customer Service, Operations, Finance, IT/Digital, Environment, Engineering, Industrial Chemists, Safety, Administration and much more . . .

THE ROLE
Based in Darwin, we are seeking energetic Waste Collection Runners for our Domestic Waste Collections Contract performing essential community services throughout Darwin.
In this role you will drive a company car, (following a set run - details provided by our in-house system J-Track program); moving domestic waste bins from within unit complexes (for example), to the curb for collection by our Truck Operators.
5.30am start or 10.30am start available - 6 hours a day, Monday to Friday.
ABOUT YOU
- Self-motivated, honest, hardworking and energetic as there is a lot of physical activity involved
- Holding a current HR licence will be an advantage; but car licence is essential
- Willingness to learn, ability to work well individually and as part of a team
- Commit to JJ's Waste values and be willing to embrace workplace diversity
- Be dedicated to achieving high standards of safety compliance and customer service
- Be subject to a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol testing
- An impeccable driving record, providing your last 10 years’ traffic history
