About the role
Aside from directly managing significant waste and resource recovery services for our community, the Waste Services Team is responsible for improving Waste Management and resource recovery within the Councils’ own varied operations and facilities.
Utilising your broad skills and knowledge of Waste Management, stakeholder engagement, and change management, you will identify and implement opportunities for resource recovery and behaviour improvements that reduce landfill and improve customer experience and environmental outcomes.
On a daily basis this role will see you working across a range of Council facilities and operations to gather accurate and detailed data to monitor and improve performance in service delivery, compliance, and standards. You will engage with a diverse range of employees and contractors to provide quality customer service and seek out opportunities for improvement.
This unique role will see you become an integral member of the Waste Services Team and become the key contact for waste and resource recovery within Council operations.
This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Diploma in Project Management or related field OR demonstrated solid contemporary experience within a waste environment, combined with ongoing professional development
- Current Class C Driver’s licence
- Construction Induction White Card Safework NSW (or willingness to obtain)
Other important information
- The salary range for this position sits between $82.9K to $99.5K plus 11% superannuation
- This is a Permanent full-time role
- This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight
- We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role.
- This role is located at Buttonderry Waste Management Facility, located at Jilliby
