Address About the Opportunity

To help us achieve this we are seeking an experienced Waste Operations Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist advice, project coordination and contract management support in the operations area of waste services to ensure efficient operation consistent with legislative and regulatory requirements, industry best practice, and Council’s waste management objectives.
To succeed in this role, you will have tertiary qualifications in Waste management, environmental science or a related field along with demonstrated experience. The successful candidate will also have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be familiar with waste management systems, databases, and relevant software.
On a typical day this role will:
Assist Waste Manager and Waste Coordinator with operational matters.
Planning and coordination of waste management plans and procedures.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies.
Data management; collecting and analysing data from WasteMan (Weighbridge Software).
Developing and implementing emergency response plans for waste related incidents. Reporting and Documentation.
Remuneration and Benefits
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent 35 hours per week
Salary (exclusive of super): In the range of $88,473.78 to $99,534.96 depending on skills and experience.
