Waste Services Operator About Us Council is seeking a Waste Services Operator to join our team at the waste facility to help manage the facility and provide an excellent customer experience to our community.
About the Role Located at the Maitland Resource Recovery Facility, as a Waste Services Operator you will be responsible for operation of resource recovery and landfill plant and equipment. You will assist daily in coordinating customers to ensure the correct disposal and recycling of waste and help to minimise landfilling of waste. The role will also include the provision of weighbridge services, including maintaining electronic transaction records for each vehicle visiting the site.
As part of the role and in limited circumstances, you may also be required to deliver and maintain waste bins, as well as operating side loading and read loading waste collection trucks. About You
To be successful in this role, you will have a current HR licence and demonstrated experience in the operation of waste management and landfill plant and equipment. Experience in operating a traxcevator, front end loader, compactors and other machinery would be highly regarded. You will have a high level of commitment to providing exceptional service to our customers and a sound understanding of WH&S in the context of the waste management industry.
Possession of a current traffic controller certificate and a forklift ticket would be also highly regarded. BenefitsThis is a full-time, permanent position with a base salary range of $59,215 up to $65,729 per year based on demonstrated experience allowances penalty rates 11% super. Working hours for the position are 38 hours per week on a 1-in-2 weekend roster with a spread of hours between 7.00am to 4.30pm.
