The Opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity to set and implement the strategic direction for our Water Solutions business which encompasses a range of award winning stormwater products. You will work closely with the National Water Solutions team and the NSW sales team to achieve sales targets, and provide technical, strategic and marketing input and grow the sales revenue and EBIT contributions for the portfolio.

Your accountabilities will include project technical design, identifying potential markets and sales opportunities and evaluating strategies for defending and growing the portfolio in NSW.

Further, detailed responsibilities are found in the Position Description which is available upon request and will include:

  • Developing long-term relationships with clients, through managing and interpreting their needs.
  • Searching for new clients who will benefit from our products and stormWater Solutions and maximising client potential.
  • Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education.
  • Working closely with the national Water Solutions team on product development and testing.
  • Training and leading the Sales Team on Stormwater Solutions products.
  • Setting and implementing a strategic direction for the Water Solutions business in NSW.
  • Participating in regional marketing activities, exhibitions, conferences, launches and sales presentations.  

About you:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Environmental, Civil, or Water Engineering/Science is desirable.
  • Qualifications in Marketing or Business will also be considered with together with credible experience in the civil or industrial manufacturing/ sales environment.
  • Experience in the stormWater Solutions space, coupled with additional experience in a related technical sales role will be especially regarded. 
  • Experience in a consulting environment will also be highly regarded.
  • A solid understanding of the civil engineering market, and relevant state and local authorities.
  • Passionate about the environment, water and sustainability. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain effective relationships with all internal and external stakeholders is considered essential.
  • The ability to obtain an extensive understanding of the design process and how consulting engineers interact with the industry.
  • A good understanding of civil construction and asset management.
  • The ability to marry Humes manufacturing competencies to customer requirements.
  • Ability to work autonomously and with high level time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, the Google suite and other systems required to perform the role effectively.
