The Role
We have 2 full time permanent Water Supply Operator rotating roles initially based at Winneke Water Treatment Plant. Reporting to the Lead Operator you'll have the opportunity to make a difference and add to our work environment, within a place where you can learn and perform to your fullest potential. This will be achieved through:
- Managing day-to-day and emergency operations of Melbourne Water's Water Supply assets.
- Respond to alarms or emergencies and initiate incident management procedures.
- Ensure environmental flow requirements are achieved.
- Participate in chemical, asset, environmental, hazard, OH&S and building assessment audits as required.
- Experience with water/wastewater treatment processes is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to interact in a positive and professional way with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience using or ability to learn other internal computer applications such as SCADA/ Maximo / MS Office.
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems.
- Certificate III or higher in Water/Wastewater Industry Operations is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in responding appropriately to all safety incidents and maintaining the safety and welfare of yourself and your colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a systematic, well-organised way to complete tasks according to established procedures.
Salary MW EA Level 5 - Starting at $88,476 plus superannuation
