New Plumbing Solutions (NPS) is seeking a reliable and dedicated Water Utility Plumber based in Ballarat. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our projects are completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
From humble beginnings NPS has grown to a national organisation with circa 200 staff and significant growth plans to build on the strong foundations. At NPS we provide high-quality services for industry, government, and water authorities with significant growth in emerging areas of digital metering and IoT device management.
About the Role
We are looking for a number of full-time Water Utility Plumbers to service a variety of water sector clients across Melbourne who are willing to learn and grow.
Daily tasks will include, but not limited to;
• Water Meter replacement & assembly maintenance - including Remote, Mechanical & Digital meters up to 150mm.
• Working with copper tube, BPress, welding, liquid nitrogen and other types of water assembly components.
• Inspect sites while discovering and locating problems and finding solutions as required.
• Develop scope of works for complex solutions
• Perform tasks within budgets and time frames
• Customer Service – face to face and phone
• Maintain accurate and timely digital job installation records
• Performs incidental work of a trades or non-trades nature
• Ensure that all tasks are performed in a manner consistent with state and company OH&S policies and procedures.
• Like any work, there are some tasks that can become repetitive but necessary
About You
We are looking for reliable and dedicated individuals to help us on a variety of ongoing projects. The ideal candidates will possess the following:
• Registered Plumber
• Water Utility experience highly regarded.
• A positive attitude with an aptitude for problem solving
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• The ability to work in conjunction with a supervisor both individually and occasionally in a team setting
• Support/Training Meter Technician and Apprentices when required
• Pride in the work you do
• Attention to detail – Data Accuracy is a MUST!
• A current driver's licence
• A red/ white card
• Own hand tools
• Working with children's check police check would be advantageous and you must be able to obtain one if you don't already have one
