Overview
The National Library of Australia is seeking an experienced content writer. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work alongside Collection Branch subject matter experts to deliver new and updated Web Content highlighting the Librarys collections.
Working at the EL1 level, the successful applicant will:
Write content that is engaging, accessible and optimised for search engine discoverability and complies with the Australian Government Style Manual, Web Content Governance Framework and National Library of Australia Branch Guidelines
Work collaboratively with subject matter experts and stakeholders
Manage the project and ensure milestones and deliverables are met within the established timeframe
Use subject matter expertise to develop new content and refresh existing content
Make recommendations to meet customer needs
Test content for accessibility
Successful candidates will have:
Demonstrated digital writing experience with an ability to develop user-centred content
Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently and with limited support to meet deadlines
Experience managing projects
Demonstrated understanding of content design including accessibility, inclusivity and readability
Experience collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
Ability to adapt positively to change.

Essential Criteria
1. Demonstrated experience delivery of high-quality output within tight deadlines. 30 %
2. Demonstrated experience creating digital content that is engaging, accessible and optimised for search. 25 %
3. Excellent writing skills with strong attention to detail 25 %
4. Strong organisational skills and a demonstrated ability to work productively with stakeholders. 20 %
Desirable Criteria
1. Experience using Drupal 9 content management system.
