We are looking for an experienced Chef passionate about a person-centered approach to care, to join our Catering Team.
Reporting to the Residential Service Manager, the Chef provides a nutritious, appetising, and varied menu for residents that enhance their quality of life. This menu is nutritionally sound, is aligned to residents' individual medical and other needs and preferences, the Aged Care Quality standards, and regulatory requirements, and is delivered within budget.

What you will do
The Chef is responsible for ensuring:
- Manage all aspects of the Kitchen section, including training, leading and inspiring the Kitchen team to ensure a highly-skilled, well-organised and motivated team.
- Ensure food safety standards, preparation, presentation and cooking techniques are established, monitored and maintained to meet current Food Concept guidelines
- Delivery of food is executed in a timely manner
- Undertake ordering of stock for all kitchen areas needs, ensuring orders across sections are condensed to reduce excessive stock, and par stock levels are maintained
- At least 1-2 years experience as a Chef in a residential aged care setting
- Completed Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
- Completed Food Safety Supervisor Course
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal & interpersonal)
- Hold and maintain NDIS Worker Checks as per NDIS Act 2013
- Contract Type: Permanent Part Time Contract
- Hours: Minimum 20 hours per fortnight
- Salary Range: competitive Hourly rate (Depending on experience) + 11% Superannuation+ NFP salary packaging + allowances
