The Opportunity
Our manufacturing team at Dry Creek is expanding and requires meticulous fabricators / welders to build quality structures, ensuring weld specifications are adhered to whilst using the right equipment and adhering to safety regulations.
As a Fabricator / Welder you will be accountable for:
- Fabrication and fitting of parts in accordance with relevant engineering/mechanical specifications.
- Welding components to DIN 2303:2007- 02 standard (preferred).
- Verifying that materials are in accordance with drawings, identified and traced and fit for purpose.
- Sharing your skills with our Fabrication team.
- Working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Understanding specifications of the task at hand by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, and instruction sheets.
- Assisting with quality control to identify non-conformances from a manufacturing standpoint.
- Resolving issues that occur before or during the manufacturing cycle and recommending changes.
About you:
You will have:
- Demonstrated experience in TIG, MIG, Laser, Butt, and Arc Welding techniques.
- Trade qualification as an Engineering / Fabrication / Boilermaker Tradesperson.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ industry experience.
- Expertise in Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW).
- Knowledge and certification in DIN 2303:2007-02 standards advantageous.
- Experience in defence / naval welding preferred.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- An understanding of complex instructions, schematics to ensure items are designed and built correctly.
- Reviewing quality records for completed items.
- Maintaining manufacturing data records.
- Willingness to share your craft and develop others.
- “Can do” attitude and personable disposition.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Thorough knowledge of current WHS practices.
