Due to company growth, we are now actively seeking to appoint a dynamic experienced Welding Supervisor.
About you:
- You're a talented, inspirational Welding Supervisor.
- A welding qualification preferred, especially “Certificate 10 - AS1796 Welding Supervisor” accredited by Weld Australia
- Evidence of fabrication/production welding experience in stain-less steel or aluminum
- A strong desire to produce high quality welds that comply with Australian standards.
- Strong team player with a ‘Can Do’ attitude.
- Understanding of safety within a manufacturing environment
- Must be accredited by Weld Australia and meet the requirements outlined in ASNZS 1554.1 – Supervise the welding of Structural Steel.
About the role:
- Lead a talented team of welders.
- Weld light gauge material to a high standard, such as aluminum, stainless steel and mild steel (Ranges from 1.00mm to 3.00mm)
- Read/understand engineering drawings.
- Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces.
- Weld components using manual or semi- automatic welding equipment.
- Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that are to be welded.
- Test and inspect welded surfaces to identify flaws.
- Maintain good clean working environment.
